Pastirma
Traditionally Good
One very special delicacy of Turkish cuisine is pastirma.
This cured beef is dry-pressed in accordance with ancient equestrian nomadic tradition, coated in a spicy paste of Middle Eastern spices, and then left to air-dry slowly for weeks. We use only the best and leanest pieces of halal beef in our pastirma. Once the curing process has been completed, the meat is cut into wafer-thin slices.
Whether eaten on its own, on bread, or as a refinement for the most sophisticated of dishes, pastirma will make something special out of any breakfast, meal or treat. And thanks to its high protein content of more than 35%, it is also a particularly nutritious food.
